CARIBBEAN FOOD CROPS SOCIETY


The Caribbean Food Crops Society (CFCS) is the premier agricultural society in the caribbean region with almost 400 active members in 22 countries. The annual meeting provides participants an opportunity to share results of research which, whether presented orally or as posters, are published in the edited proceedings.

1999 Conference - July 25-31

The 35th annual conference will be held in Castries, St.Lucia.

The theme for this year's conference is "Towards a Diversified, Competitive, Sustaianable, Integrated and Commercially Oriented Agriculture Sector". The first session immediately following the opening ceremony will be devoted to the theme. Other sessions will cover horticulture, agronomy, crop protection, animal science, natural resources etc. A poster session will cover all aspects of agriculture.

Thursday 29 July will be a field day.

Hotel Accomodation

Accommodations are being reserved in the Rodney Bay Area. The hotels are Rainbow Hotel, Islander, Bay Garden, and Palm Court Hotel. Room rates range from US$60 to 150.
